OPUS Website Purchasing Policy |
|
It is our desire that you enjoy the OPUS online experience and that you become a loyal and happy customer. OPUS has 41 years experience in giving customers the absolute best service. Our purchasing policy is fair and easy to understand:
- If you buy a gift online and it is out of stock we will notify you by email or phone. If we cannot fulfill an entire order we will only charge you for what we are sending you (plus postage). If any more has been charged to your account a credit will appear on your statement immediately.
- OPUS is happy to exchange a gift but we do not refund for change of mind reasons. Where a customer would like to do an exchange they must first email us with the request (

) and we will then inform them of what the procedure is. Both the postage cost to send the gift to OPUS and the return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
- Where a good is claimed to be faulty we will need to be supplied evidence of this. The first step is to email us to let us know of the problem (

). We will normally request that the good be shipped back to us so that we can inspect it. After these steps have been taken by the customer (and if we determine that the goods are indeed faulty or damaged through no fault of the customer) will we replace the good or refund the cost of the good in question. If the good is being replaced by OPUS we will also cover the cost of sending the good to the customer.
- It is important to note that online prices may vary from the prices displayed in our stores. Prices available online may not be available in our stores.
- Prices are subject to change without notice.
- We cannot guarantee at any time that a shipment will arrive at a specified time. We use a third party for freight and postage.
- We cannot guarantee that any gift item is in stock at the time of purchase.
- We reserve the right to refuse an order if we so choose.
- All prices are stated in Australian Dollars.
Credit Card Fraud
If you attempt to purchase goods though our Internet service with an invalid, stolen, generated or other fraudulent credit card, the details of the transaction along with your information will be turned over to the appropriate authorities and to the Credit Card Fraud Investigation unit of our bank. They in turn will launch an investigation that will lead to your prosecution.
We have gathered information about you and your internet session that will enable an investigation to find you, regardless of where you have logged in to the Internet. When you connect to the internet through an ISP, telecommunications company or through a business, log files are created. These include the date, time, your user name and the IP address you were assigned during your connection. During an investigation, this information will be disclosed. The log files will provide investigators with your name. This is true for all bodies that connect to the Internet or provide services on the internet. All internet access and service providers must disclose this information during a criminal investigation.
There have been many successful investigations that have lead to the arrests and convictions of other fraudulent credit card users.
